My Story and My WHY
"My breastfeeding journey was impacted by a lip-tie.
My son was a “fussy baby".
Breastfeeding him was not a pleasant experience for him or for me.
He had a weak latch and would slip off easily.
He often coughed, made weird noises and would fall asleep while breastfeeding only to wake up hungry again.
Leaking and spitting up milk was the norm.
He was diagnosed and treated for acid reflux early on but that didn’t solve the problem.
I was in pain, tired and confused.
We both endured four months of silent suffering and when the milk supply became scarce, we had no other option than to stop breastfeeding.
I felt like a failure! In hindsight, I should have trusted my mommy instincts…
I don't want anyone else to suffer like my son and I suffered, that is my WHY. That is WHY I've devoted my life to helping babies and young children."
